The Cypress Swamp exhibit features alligators, cougars, turtles, waterfowl and amphibians whose habitat are swamps in the southeastern U.S.
Ducks, geese, insects, frogs and aquatic plants can be spotted in the Marsh area, which also features several interesting works of art.
Polar bears, harbor seals and sea lions are the stars of the arctic Rocky Coast exhibit, but it is also enjoyable to watch the sea birds dive and swim in their enclosure.
Peregrine Falcon
North Carolina wildlife such as fish, bobcats, river otters, and snakes comprise the Streamside exhibit. I included my best photos of an otter and bobcat (they wouldn’t sit still long enough for non-blurry pics).
Barred Owl
Black Bears are the smallest North American bears and are great climbers.
The Prairie exhibit features bison and elk.
Grizzly Bear
This is the living hive in the Honey Bee Garden.
